RepairCheck is a mobile-first automotive inspection product: field experts capture a guided photo flow, AI generates damage reports, and results export to PDF. It shipped in three weeks and is backed by a production admin dashboard built to scale with the business.
The challenge
Vehicle inspection is slow, inconsistent and paperwork-heavy. The opportunity was to put a structured, AI-assisted capture flow in the hands of field experts — but the market had to be tested with a real, App Store-quality product, not a prototype. It also needed an operations layer from day one so the team could manage experts, audit reports and support enterprise growth without a rebuild.
What we built
- A native mobile app with a guided, step-by-step photo capture flow for consistent inspections.
- AI-powered damage reporting that turns captured photos into structured reports and PDF exports.
- A production admin dashboard: multi-role access, audit logs and compliance tracking, architected to scale.
- A backend connecting capture, AI processing, storage and reporting into one reliable pipeline.
The stack
React Native + Expo delivered an App Store-ready app quickly, while Node.js and OpenAI powered the AI report generation. The admin side used React/Next.js on a PostgreSQL backend with AWS S3 for image storage — an architecture chosen so the same MVP could carry the product into enterprise scale without re-platforming.
The outcome
RepairCheck launched in three weeks and now processes 7,000+ inspections per month across a growing base of active field experts — a validated market and a platform that scaled with it rather than being thrown away after launch.
