MasterPilot is an EdTech platform for the pilot-training market: it visualizes real flight data, scores sessions automatically and replays them in 3D. It launched in three weeks, built for fast iteration and tight student-feedback loops.
The challenge
Pilot training generates rich flight data that is hard to learn from without good visualization. The opportunity was to turn that raw data into an intuitive, replayable teaching tool — but the technically ambitious 3D/real-time piece had to be proven in a shippable MVP, not a research project.
What we built
- Real-time flight-data visualization built on mapping and 3D rendering.
- Automated scoring of training sessions to give students objective feedback.
- 3D replay so instructors and students can review flights intuitively.
- A launch scope focused on the core learning loop, engineered for fast iteration.
The stack
Next.js paired with Mapbox and Three.js was the right combination to deliver real-time geospatial and 3D visualization in a production MVP — enough technical horsepower to make the replay genuinely useful, delivered in a three-week build window.
The outcome
MasterPilot launched in three weeks with working real-time 3D flight replay and automated scoring — proving a technically demanding EdTech concept as a shippable product built for student-feedback loops.
